Company Background
Ordium, established in 2007 by Director Kate Johnson, was built on the foundation of ‘success through smart process’.
With more than 15 years experience at the forefront of franchising, Ordium's capable team is equipped to review and analyse business systems, big or small. From manuals, policies and procedures, a detailed blueprint of your business structure is developed, this assists you to review your fundamental processes. Through a dynamic working relationship, Ordium works with you to ensure you understand and implement the recommendations provided.

About Kate Johnson
As Managing Director of her own consulting company, Kate taps into 15 years experience in franchising. She has a depth of experience in operations, procedures, franchise strategy, business logic, facilitation and leadership. Kate's experience is currently an integral part of the development of franchise groups in Australia.
Kate is the immediate past Vice President of the Franchise Council of Australia Queensland Committee and has been an active participant since 2001, culminating in being awarded the 2005 Contribution to Franchising Award. She is also the current Queensland Representative for Women In Franchising.
Additionally, Kate’s extensive network of contacts provides an easily accessible resource for your business to tap into. Professional experts such as lawyers, accountants, store designers, fitout specialists, marketing and public relations consultants and branding agencies are available to you, to ensure the best in the business are looking after your business.
About Paul Bardwell
With 18 years experience as a director of Lenard’s, Paul Bardwell knows the A to Z of franchising. Having joined Lenard’s in 1989 when there were six stores, Paul was instrumental in facilitating the company’s growth to more than 190 stores by 2007 when he sold his stake back to the company.
Prior to this, Paul was a McDonald’s franchisee in New Zealand in the infancy of the company’s launch into that market in the early 1980s.
Now, Paul operates his own consulting business, working alongside Ordium to provide specialist advice as required. His involvement in the business brings a wealth of knowledge and experience on both sides of the franchising equation with his unique understanding of what it is like to walk in the shoes of the franchisee and the franchisor ranking him as one of Australia’s pre-eminent franchising consultants.
About Peter Trevilyan
From 1985 - 2000 Peter owned a magazine publishing business which published many national titles including Franchising magazine for twelve years. During this time, Peter introduced initiatives such as the National Franchisee of the Year Awards, the annual Franchising Yearbook and Directory and franchisenet, Australia's foremost internet reference source for the franchise sector.
His contribution to franchising was recognised by the FCA in 1995 when he was awarded the "Services to Franchising" award.
Throughout his career, Peter has advised many businesses on sales and marketing. Now, as director of Better Business Coaches, he specialises in introducing low - cost, highly effective business growth strategies to businesses of all sizes.
Like Kate and Paul, Peter has an extensive network of valuable contacts to call on in the franchise sector and has personal knowledge of the substantial benefits to businesses looking to franchise or improve their current business systems.
